Description

NetCDF (network Common Data Form) is an interface for array-oriented data access and a library that provides an implementation of the interface. The netCDF library also defines a machine-independent format for representing scientific data. Together, the interface, library, and format support the creation, access, and sharing of scientific data.

Installation

• Version 3.5.1 is installed in /usr/local/netcdf/
• Version 3.6.2 (32-bit mode) is installed in /usr/local/netcdf-3.6.2_32bit
• Version 3.6.2 (64-bit mode) is installed in /usr/local/netcdf-3.6.2_64bit
• Version 2.7b1: in /usr/local/NAMD_2.7b1_Linux-x86_64-TCP
• Version 2.6 has a symbolic link to /usr/local/NAMD/, a directory that is on users path.

Note: By default, the netcdf executables ncdump and ncgen from version 3.5.1 are on users’ path, and those from version 3.6.2 are not.
